For it is not your strength, but it is God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose for His good pleasure. (Phi 2:13)
Today, as you hasten to accomplish your plans and purposes, take a moment to open yourself to the spontaneous work of the Holy Spirit within you. God urges us to make the most of every opportunity, so quiet your heart and be open to the divine moments He has prepared for you to let your light shine. You are a vessel recreated and formed by God, filled with His good pleasure and meant to overflow to bless many. Just as Jesus tells us that everyone born of the Spirit is like the wind—you hear its sound but cannot tell where it comes from or where it goes—so too should you be open to the Spirit's movement. Walking in the Spirit is not about following a formula or contriving our actions; it is about being secure in our position with Him and relinquishing the notion that we can direct our paths. Instead, allow Him to move within you as He desires, trusting that He will provide the opportunities and equip you to be His light. Embrace the joy and security that comes from knowing He is in control.
But those who wait for the LORD who expect, look for, and hope in Him
Will gain new strength and renew their power;
They will lift up their wings and rise up close to God like eagles rising toward the sun;
They will run and not become weary,
They will walk and not grow tired. (Isa 40:31)
